The Coalition of Women MPs from Arab Countries to Combat Violence against Women, in partnership with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, organized a workshop entitled “Advocacy and Persuasion” on March 29 and 30. This workshop aimed to provide definitions of concepts and tools that would clarify the vision of political actors during their advocacy campaigns. This workshop covered advocacy, issue identification, building coalitions, and conflict transformation. It dealt with the definition and importance of pleading, how to persuade, transform the conflict, tools for conflict analysis, and finding common goals. Current and former female parliamentarians from Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Egypt participated in it. The training was provided by the expert Vicki Zwain from Lebanon.
