MP El Qawasimi is a gynecologist specialized in infertility and IVF. She is a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council since 2006. She is the Vice President of the Arab Parliamentarian Forum for Population and Development. She represents Palestine in the Coalition of Women MPs from Arab Countries to Combat Violence against Women. She is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Center for Legal Aid and Counselling. She is also a member of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and a member of the Board of Director in the International Forum for Small Arms and Light Weapons.
