H.E. Wafa Bani Mustafa met in her office with the Canadian Ambassador, H.E. Donica Pottie, on 26/2/2020. Bani Mustafa pointed out to the Arab Convention prepared by the coalition in cooperation with the League of Arab States which resembles Istanbul convention. She also pointed out to the coalition’s campaign to protect Women from political violence in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute and stressed that the coalition is in the process of issuing a training manual for election campaigns to help women face challenges during election campaigns, especially as Jordan is approaching an election phase.
Both sides discussed the challenges facing young people, as Her Excellency the Ambassador expressed her pride in the young generation in Jordan and said: ” Jordanian young people are articulate, educated and have many competencies, and therefore appropriate opportunities must be found for them.” She stressed on the need to encourage young people to vote because the problem of young people’s reluctance to do so is global.
